Paul Howard
Urban Forester

After a stint as a Navy SEAL (don't ask, he doesn't like to talk about it) Paul returned to pursue a career doing those things he likes the best. No, it wasn't urban forestry, that's just a hobby. He can be found most of the time surfing the white water at Surfside or selling croaker and shrimp at the bait shop in Corpus. But you gotta pay for the good life somehow, so urban forestry suits his calling. If you need a lecture on 'crape murder', Paul's your man.

Paul joined Burditt in 2002 as an Urban Forester. Following tour of service with the United States Navy, he returned to Texas A&M University to receive a B.S. in Urban Forestry. Paul focuses on tree preservation in the urban environment utilizing computer and satellite technologies for data collection and analysis. He provides strong leadership in coordinating field data collection projects involving GPS, CIP’s, infrastructure improvements, and urban natural resource evaluation. He has supervised and collected tree data on numerous projects for municipalities, non-profits, and government agencies. Paul is particularly skilled at communicating with architects, engineers, and planners in all aspects of the built environment.
